Designed to blend with the local style of housing, a rural gîte is a holiday house or detached maisonette in the country or in the mountains.

It consists of one or more bedrooms, a lounge/dining room, a kitchenette or larger kitchen and a bathroom.

You can rent a gîte for a weekend, a week, or a longer stay at any time of year. The owners will give you a warm welcome when you arrive.

The Gîtes de France quality label guarantees predefined levels of amenities thanks to its classification of 1 to 5 ears of corn and its compliance with a national charter.

All Gîtes de France rural gîtes are regularly inspected and classified as holiday self-catering units in accordance with the Order-in-Council of 28/12/1976 (revised).

Depending on the classification, sheets, household linen and cleaning service may be available on request.

If you are travelling with young children, some of the owners will make your life easier by supplying childcare equipment or specially adapted amenities in Baby Care gîtes.
